‘13 manual Tacoma, 22,000 miles for $25,000. Needs TRD wheels post-haste.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

And god damn, these hold their values damn well. Unlike certain cars that have lost $7,000 in eight months.... Oh wait, that’s my car.

Isn’t that about what a new one would cost?

This one has the V6, instead of the 4cyl.

New TRD sport, manual, 4x4 double cabs can be had for 33K.

So better trim, more doors, three model years newer, and 25,000 miles less for 8K more.

Have you sat in a non-TRD model? Base models have different seats.

If those are the same seats that are in the 4runner, than technically.

Prices like this is why I bought mine new. Neither NP or CP, it’s just “the way it is”. I test drove the old truck and the new truck back to back. The new one is much better.

After reading how much your Jetta depreciated in 8 months, I was curious to see how much my Passat depreciated in 11 months.

I deeply regret investigating.

At this point, I wish it were $7000. Mine took a hefty whack in price to the tune of $9000.

It’s like a straight drop.

Out of all the mistakes I’ve made, the one I regret the most was buying the Jetta.

That’s a pretty big price difference.

I like, but I like the TRD ones more :P

What do you think of this gen with the manual? I’m having trouble deciding if it’s willing shelling out the extra $9,000 for the new one. I’m just not sure if it’s worth it.

These things hold their values so well that I’m fairly certain I could just get an older one to see how I like it and then move up to a newer one if I do, loosing minimal $ in the process.

I don’t even want to know what mine will depreciate at. I paid 23.5K for my Passat SEL but I put 3200 miles on it before I even made the first payment so I know I’m gunna be in for an ass kicking when I go to get rid of it

On another note, thats not a bad price since its kinda hard to find a manual, but it might be worth going new with that kind of value retain age

I just don’t know if I want to shell out $10,000 for a new one.

Like if I got TRD wheels for this, I’d be set.

Yeah I mean thats the thing I guess it seems like its not much but in the long run its still a chunk of change. You’ll loose a lot less on a used one even if you don’t loose much on either. My dad has a 2014 Crew Cab Long Bed. I like the truck but I don’t love it like I wanted to, maybe because I liked our 4Runner way more

They just hold their value so damn well. Like if I bought that one, I could probably hold onto it, put 30,000 miles on it and sell it four years from now for probably $23,000.

Your Passat looks amazing, by the way. I absolutely love Reef Blue.

Mine is a 2015 TSI Limited in Reflex Silver.

Also, yours has the lighting package, so I’d assume the resale value will be better than mine. I’ve put 25k miles on the car in 11 months, which might have something to do with the $9k loss on mine.

True but it is also a lot more truck. When I bought my ‘16, some dealerships were asking 33K for 2015's.

CP.

Go to tacoma world and spec the truck you want using invoice pricing.

https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-tacoma-model-package-option-costs-master-list.388345/

7559 - TRD SPORT ACCESS CAB 4X4 V6 M/T LB............ $ 30336

(Looks like the manual only comes in 4x4 TRD sport)

Should only be a few grand more than what this dealer wants. Call around to toyota dealerships in your area and tell them you are looking at buying a truck at invoice and are willing to come in today to do so.

We paid $33,500 after destination for a 2017 TRD Sport DCLB but before tax, title and licensing.

So for about $5k ($5500 with tax) extra you get a 4 year newer truck, at a higher trim and 4x4.

Yeah I’m looking for about a 25-30K mile year too. And thanks I love the color too. To be honest the plan is to keep it as the commuter car till its not worth anything anyways so I’m not too worried about loss in value
